Ethno Fusion Party from Barcelona

SHAKATA is all about bringing the carnival to town and getting the party started!

This truly international band, with members hailing from four continents, will take you on a transatlantic dance-filled journey from the Balkan peninsula to the beaches of Brazil and everywhere in between.

The band formed at Berklee College of Music Valencia, crafting their funky repertoire of playful arrangements and original music from their imaginary ethno-fusion landscape.

They immediately became known for their live shows, driven by infectious energy and palpable onstage chemistry.

Drawing from the cultural and musical roots of each member, the ensemble concocts a bold mixture of fiery Balkan-inspired melodies with Arabic Maqam contours, over driving drums with Brazilian grooves and a psychedelic rock edge.

It's an unorthodox and flavourful groove that keeps the party rocking!

Listen to their debut EP Turn the Night On, available on all platforms.
